Honda CRV Headlights

i HAVE A 2002 HONDA cr-v and the headlights stopped working. I tryed putting in new light bulbs and changing the fuses but none of that worked. Does anybody know what the problem could be.

  1. there are two headlight relays in the underhood fuse and relay box on the passenger rear side of the engine compartment.

    there are also two fuses, one for each relay in the underhood fuse box.

    chances are one of the relays is bad.  typically honda relays are interchangeable.  look at the cover or under the cover of the fuse and relay box for the location of the headlight relay #1 and headlight relay #2.  swap another relay that looks like it from the box and see if the headlights come on.  change relay # 1 with the substitute relay first and try the lights; if they still don't work put the original relay back and try relay #2.

    if changing the relays doesnt work then teh problem would be with the headlamp switch or the ground.  the ground wire for that circuit is behind the glove box

    do the high beams and taillights work?  if not, the problem is with the headlight switch.
