My civic 95 (pakistan) is getting heated up, the needle goes to H.

I got the radiator cleaned up, services. After that the pressure (boiling ) in the radiator, after i gave acceleration, became so much that it teared the plastic cover of the radiator. There is some problem but there is no technical or qualified person i can show to (even the staff at honda services). can u list several reasons why this problem can occur. I have coverted my car to cng (kit installed) . this problem occured after 1 year of cng (proper no trouble use). i do not think this is got to do anything with the cng part. What u say

  1. Bad thermostat or water pump.

  2. Here's the order I would go in.

    1.  Thermostat

    2.  Hose collapse

    3.  Belt

    4.  Water pump-blades no longer any good

My honda carries the same temperature whether its 100 degrees or 30 degrees, so you have one of these problems.

  3. sounds like a simple thermostat to me, or could be a water pump but  the hondas usually make a strange noise when the water pump goes bad.

  4. A possibility is that a head gasket is leaking and allowing hot combustion gasses into the coolant system. This can be checked with a pressure test to the radiator.Or ,with the engine cool, take off the radiator cap, start the engine, and observe for pressure building immediately.
