Honda Classic emerges as a bright spot for Charles Howell and Vaughn Taylor
Both of them might be out from the Honda Classic, but with positive results added to their portfolio, they are pleased with their performance.
Vaughn Taylor was able to finish in the top-20 of the squad after making a hole-in-one on Sunday in the final round of the event.
It is important to mention here that he was previously among the squad of top-18 at the Mayakoba Classic.
Hence, with the help of such performances, he has been able to get hold of the momentum he was looking for.
“I feel like I’m playing well,” he said. “I just need to keep doing what I’m doing”.
On the other hand, Charles Howell with the help of a 73, was able to finish at the 26th position.
It was his iron shot aimed for the 4th hole that helped him in securing his position. This was further cemented by his hole-in-one eagle that he made from 197 yards.
“I hit a good shot. I thought it would be close,” Howell said. “Obviously, when a ball goes in you need to hit a good shot and have a little bit of luck”.
Both golfers, with the help of their breakthrough performances, are now aiming to make their way in to the upcoming events.
Taylor is planning to tee it off next at Puerto Rico Open. He will try to once again make way into the Masters Tournament by performing well in the upcoming event.
On the other hand, Howell is deciding to make way for the WGC-Cadillac Championship which is expected to go underway this week.
With the help of this participation, he will further concentrate on sharpening his golfing skills through effective performance in the event.
At the same time, Taylor has also decided to make improvements in his game with the help of these events.
He is particularly concentrating on areas through which he can improve his left side shots and score better on multiple areas.
According to experts, both these players will be able to perform exceptionally well, as they are highly motivated. At present, they are in the right momentum and direction to effectively tee off their shots.
