Honda Racing Corporation expects Casey Stoner to visit Motegi Twin Circuits in October – MotoGP news
Honda Racing Corporation Boss, Shuhei Nakamoto has declared that all the riders directly contracted with HRC will be participating in the MotoGP Japanese Grand Prix taking place at the Motegi Twin Circuit on October 2, 2011.
The problem arose when the Fukushima nuclear plant was damaged during the earthquake and tsunami disaster occurred in March. The incident damaged the country on a large scale and also the Motegi circuit. Later on the circuit was repaired and is perfectly
ready for racing but the nuclear radiation risk has cautioned many riders.
While commenting on the Japanese GP, the HRC boss expressed his views. Shuhei Nakamoto said, “I believe all of the Honda contracted riders will come to Motegi.”
The most highlighted rider to be reluctant about the Japanese GP was Casey Stoner, who shared his views during the Silverstone round. Along him were Jorge Lorenzo and Marco Simoncelli who shared their views of not going to Japan.
However, after the short summer break and Brno event, Stoner revealed his views about the Japanese event. Stoner recently got the news of becoming a father which made him to take the decision of not going to Japan.
However, reports by MotoGP and Dorna Sports commissioned agency ARPA reveal that the radiations around the Motegi circuits have been very low. The level is negligible and secure to for the event to take place.
Nakamoto further added, “I have explained what is the penalty based on the contract.  There are various penalties but I don't know would be the final penalty. I just explained to the riders. One scenario is to cancel the contract but Honda has not decided
any action.”
According to Nakamoto, all Repsol Honda riders Casey Stoner, Dani Pedrosa and Andrea Dovizioso and San Carlo Honda Gresini rider Marco Simoncelli will be visiting Japan for the MotoGP race. If any of the riders fails to cooperate according to the contract,
he will face penalties by HRC.
Although the penalties have yet not been decided, it might also end the official HRC contract with the concerned rider.
