PULL THE BAFFLE.S OUT .THE BEST SOUND IS A NEW SET OF HEADER PIPES .IT MIGHT START BACKFIRING IF YOU GUT IT.

Drill the perimeter of the rear baffle plate and twist out the baffle with a pair of vice grips.

The VLX is a great bike, regardless of what that brain dead respondent might think.

If you gut the mufflers, performance will suffer and you'll have a barking backfire.

If you just have to change the sound, I'd suggest you spend the money on an aftermarket exhaust and carb jets.

drill em out, gonna make it run lean and backfire a lot. do it right buy a set of pipes and jet the carbs. still its only a 600 gonna sound like a f**t in a beer can.
