Honda civic has clutch squeal

my clutch is squealling while disengaged. I just swaped a type r into my 2000 civic wonder if maybe i need to adjust the clutch pedal or something.

  1. It sounds like a bad clutch.


  2. The squealing is from a bad "throw out bearing". cheap part, but high price labor. You should replace the clutch as well if you haven't already done so.

It depends on what kind of squeal it is, it could be anything from low clutch fluid to a bad throw out bearing.  You should be able to tell because you put in a new tranny, so I'd encourage you to look around a little, assuming you know how to, because there's no reason it should be squealing.

    or If i were you I'd take it back to the people who swapped it for you and they should find out what it is, because it's not your fault, they are responsible for doing a good job.

  4. If the clutch just got replaced, I would take it back and tell them that I  want the squealing noise to stop. There should be no excuse for a squealing noise on a new clutch especially if the mechanics are certified to work on cars. It may need readjusting.
