how do i take off an iac valve and is it hard to do??????????????????

Very quick and simple to do.

If you're looking to just clear out any gunk build-up in the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve screen, just remove the 2 bolts with a socket wrench or box wrench; leave the 2 radiator hoses and wire harness connected.  The IAC valve is located behind and against the intake throttle housing.  Spray off any carbon deposits clogging the screen with carburetor cleaner.

Tighten back the 2 bolts when done.

there are three bolts(2 on some models, depending on year, engine) and a wire connector, real easy to do, they are located on the back side of the intake manifold on most civic models but do carefully.........

Check out Autozone.com. They have many auto repair manuals online FREE.

IAC is pretty easy to remove.  It is just around the throttle body.
