  1. The honda civic will be a lot cheaper!

  2. Your broke *** needs to get a BUS PASS.

  3. If you are broke, you have no choice but get a NON-hybrid.  A regular Civic.

    Good Luck...

  4. Since you're broke, go for cheaper. Get a '94 Civic for about $1500 and do all of it's maintenance. I'll bet she'll run another 6 years if you don't beat her.

  5. Go with the hybrid, Honda civic has gone way up since the old days when they first hit the market I mean they are price pretty high these days.

  6. See if you can find an older Honda Civic with fairly low mileage.  Hondas and Toyotas have stood the test of time when it comes to quality and reliability.  According to the April Auto Issue of Consumer Reports, a '98 Honda Civic should be under $4000, and a '99 or 2000 Civic should be between $4000 and $6000.  You might get an even better deal on a slightly newer Toyota Corolla ('98, '99, 2000) for under $4000, or you could choose a 2000 Toyota Echo in the same price range.  All of these are excellent choices for a used car.  The Echo gets great gas mileage at 38 mpg.
