Everyone knows some cars can’t, or shouldn’t be winter driven... for ex. rx7, supra, skyline, mr2 ... mostly because there RWD right? I was wondering if a Honda del sol can be winter driven, because I heard there FWD but when I look for one too buy... It always has on extra details... ‘‘Never winter driven'' .... Can anyone explain this and actually know if there okay to drive in the winter?

  1. sure it is...he included that detail because vehicles are exposed to road salt and rust during the winter. They just want to point out that it is a fair weather car.

    Good luck!

  2. I don't think a Del Sol would be all that good in the Winter. You don't really want to be driving that on icy or snowy roads. It's to small for a winter car if you ask me.The best type of car for winter (especially where it snows) would be an all-wheel drive. The next best would probably be FWD, although many drivers say a FWD Is harder to turn in snow/icy areas, but then a RWD is harder to keep straight.

  3. yes

  4. As said it usually means that it has been put away in Winter away from the bad conditions so bodywork and mechanics etc will not have been exposed to any bad weather.

As for driving RWD in the Winter it is just as slippery with FWD although driving RWD even in wet conditions you have to be aware of your back wheels mainly on bends and setting off.But myself have slid about more with FWD than RWD properly due to the extra care with the RWD.
