i have a honda integra 89.. and im on nz...

overheated and poped a hose of the heating sistem... the thermostate was stucked on "close" so that was the problem at the beggining... then replaced thermostate and hose, but kept overheating until the head gasket blown...

are the sealants sold enough for cracked or bent heads also?... cause i dunno how big the damage is now... and replacing it its way too expensive

  1. If sealant worked then who'd ever go through the painful process of replacing a gasket?

I think you'd better bite the bullet and either replace the gasket (who knows how much other damage has been done now!), put a new engine in there or get a new car!

  2. nothing you can do but replace

  3. Too many problems can exist especially since you have aluminum involved.spend the money to rebuild or sell it as is mechanics special

  4. Time for a new engine a big bill

  5. If you ran it long enough to blow the head gasket, you have warped the head and it will need to be reconditioned. Also, on that model it more than likely scorched the piston rings. I would either replace the engine or plan on a total rebuild.
