Honda rider Dani Pedrosa tops second practice session of Brno Grand Prix – MotoGP news
Dani Pedrosa of Repsol Honda finished the second practice session of the Brno Grand Prix at first place, registering his fastest lap time of 1 minute and 56.858 seconds against 1 minute and 56.911 seconds of Jorge Lorenzo at second position.
The fastest lap of the practice session by Pedrosa was set almost at the same time when Lorenzo lost the front of his bike and fell, 17 minutes prior to the end of practice session. Lorenzo did not get hurt and returned on his second bike to complete the
practice session but he could not beat the time set by the Honda rider.
Tech3 Yamaha riders, Andrea Dovizioso and Cal Crutchlow in 1 minute and 57.055 and 1 minute and 57.215 seconds respectively, claimed the third and fourth positions.
Stefan Bradl completed his fastest lap of the second practice session in 1 minute and 57.250 seconds with a gap of 0.392 seconds from the leader.
Valentino Rossi of Ducati improved his position by making it to the 6thposition. He recorded his fastest lap of the second practice session in 1 minute and 57.315 seconds. Rossi was followed by Gresini Honda rider Alvaro Bautista who finished his fastest
lap in 1 minute and 57.573 seconds, despite his fall.
Ben Spies was dropped to the eighth position in the latter practice session of the first day, because the latter practice was not as clean as it was for him in practice session 1. He fell during the second practice session but remained unharmed. On his Yamaha,
he could only finish his fastest lap in 1 minute and 57.790 seconds.
Aleix Espargaro of Aspar Aprilia at the 9th place could only complete his fastest lap with a gap of 2.327 seconds, in 1 minute and 59.185 seconds. He was followed by Toni Elias who is riding in place of Hector Barbera for Aspar Aprilia. Elias completed his
fastest lap in 1 minute and 59.228 seconds with a gap of 2.370 seconds.
The maximum time it took for any rider who started the practice session 2 at Brno was 2 minutes and 1.625 seconds. Danilo Petrucci of Ioda Aprilia took the maximum time to finish his fastest lap.
