Honda riders Dani Pedrosa and Casey Stoner are ready for Indianapolis Grand Prix – MotoGP news
Dani Pedrosa and Casey Stoner, riders of Repsol Honda, are ready for the upcoming Indianapolis Grand Prix after the summer break.
Pedrosa said that he had a good summer break. He said that he relaxed during the break and enjoyed his time with his friends. He added that he did his training regularly because at Indianapolis the temperatures are high and he believes that physical fitness
would be the key in the upcoming Grand Prix.
Furthermore, he said that he enjoys racing on that circuit and has had good results there, in the past. He added that he will try to remain consistent on the circuit and win the race. He was able to make it on the podium on the second place last year.
He said, “At this time of year, Indianapolis is normally very hot so fitness is always key. I enjoy riding at this track and I've had good results in the past. I am really looking forward to this race and will fight to win and maintain the consistency.”
His teammate, Stoner said that after their success at Laguna Seca in the last Grand Prix they enjoyed their summer break. He added that he has not participated in a lot of races at Indianapolis but he thinks that the track is tight and consists of some challenging
turns and there is no natural flow to the track as the track is flat.
Furthermore, he said that although they won the Indianapolis GP, last year but they will see how RC213V performs this year. He added that it feels great to race at such a historical track.
Stoner said, “I'm not the biggest fan of Indy, mainly because we don't go on the historical track but the infield and in the wrong direction. It's nice to visit a track with such great history but it's a shame we don't really experience any of that.”
Let’s see whether Honda riders will be able to perform at the Grand Prix scheduled this weekend. They have been giving impressive performances until now, will they be able to keep up with the consistency they had shown in the first half of the current 2012
season.
