  1. cable or hydrolic ,blown master or slave will do that ,air bubble will do that, lever will have no feel to it,cables will almost always move it unless casing rusted and outside of cable collapses when pulled ,bikes that have sat for years will have clutch plates stuck together clucth hub will open but plates wont come apart causing that symptom, pull cover and watch actuatio if possible

  2. could be as simple as out of adjustment at one end of the cable... you should be able to feel spring tension on the clutch lever but the last 1/4-1/2 inch should be free play.

but more than likely, the bike sat for a period of time and there was some moisture in the oil.   this will cause the plates to rust and stick together causing it not to disengage.

there are a couple of ways to resolve... one easy but might not cure problem, one not so easy but should fix (will cost too more than likely)...

easy:  check to insure oil is about half way up the site window, start the bike and let set to warm up.  once warm, pull in the clutch, apply the front brake and click in gear... repeat several times.  kill the engine, drain the oil, replace with fresh oil.  repeat the startup, warm up, clutch, front brake, click in gear several times.  hopefully, this will break the plates loose... if not, go to the next possibility.

not so easy:  if that doesn't work, you will need to pull the clutch apart.  you can potentially get away with taking the cover off and pulling the clutch out.  then use a couple of s***w drivers to try and separate the plates.

in reality, you probably should pull the clutch out and replace with fresh plates & springs if you can afford to do so.

    good luck!

  3. improper clutch cable adjustment.... look up how to adjust it.
