  1. I suspect its not an engine problem. Narrow it down: does it judder at 6000 revs in other gears, or at 70mph in other gears? Does it judder if you kill the engine & coast decelerating from 80?

If its not the engine, any of the following could cause rough feedback at a certain road speed:

    * Front forks arguing - Fit a decent aftermarket fork brace.

    * Tyre out of balance, probably front - Take it to a good bike shop, not a Chimps 'R' Us tyre place.

    * Drive chain slack, badly worn, or hooked sprocket teeth - adjust/replace.

    * Fairing or bodywork vibrating - tighten or refasten.

    * Free play in head bearing - adjust/replace.

    * Faulty steering damper if fitted - strip and rebuild.

    * Badly secured panniers, centre stand, or passenger - jettison!

  2. Your basic problem is posting in the cycling area.
