I exclude your school's games but it includes your home town as long as population over 100 people lol

Which game(s)?

Oh, and where do you live?

Im interested to know if reasons for not seeing a live game are the comfort of TV, living far from any team or what other reason :)

Thanks

  1. I go as often as I can, which unfortunately isn't very often...I have been to about 40-50 games at Anfield in the last 6 or 7 years though...and I've been to a few important games at my most local club as well...and I've seen one international friendly at the old Wembly. Not bad really, considering the amount of people who aren't lucky enough to have even seen one live game so I shouldn't complain.

  2. Live in UAE, stadium's not far, but never seen a game in a stadium. First of all, its pointless watching low league teams, whose names I don't know. Second, it costs and I have my restrictions too :|.

  3. io si il Parma ogni volta che posso

  4. I'm told I was taken to Serie A games as a baby. Even watching Maradona play.  It doesn't count as I was too young to remember or realize what I was watching.  I live in the United States and I haven't seen a live game yet. I had a chance to watch USA vs. Mexico in Arizona once but until I watch a live Italy or Milan game first I refuse to go watch another team.  I even turned down watching Roma play Chelsea in Pittsburgh when they did a US tour in 2004. I don't care if you have a hidden agenda or not. A fan doesn't have to see a game live to be a real fan.  If I lived in Milan I would be a season ticket holder too.

I still can't believe you saw Milan win the Champions League live twice and watched Italy beat Germany and france in 2006.  My four favourite games ever. I hate you.  :p

  5. "Im wondering if there are people who claim to be fans yet have never watched a proper game of footie."

    is this an agenda? lol

nways, nice bragging rights you've got there. i'd be the happiest if i could watch dinho play live just one time.

  6. Hey Mate,

Live in Australia, am an Arsenal supporter in the EPL and obviously support Australia in internationals.

I have been to 4 international friendlies and one world cup qualifier as well as the Birmingham v Arsenal (Eduardo one) game in feb this year at Birmingham whern we were in the UK.

  7. i saw only  games

    red bulls vs chivas

    reb bulls vs san jose

    rb vs barcelona

    rb vs galaxy

    usa vs argentina

cuz giants stadium is like a mile away

i can see it from my window

cuz i live on like a hill

and this mispeling thing is makeing me feel like a idiot

ive been to a ny giants game and i had front row seats

    seriously

im only 14 so i cant go to many since i dont like going alone its dum

    nice quistion

  8. hey marco!

nope never seen a match.. i live in Pakistan!

EDIT - well we're not a very FOOTBALLING nation, so i can't watch any matches.. which kinda sucks

  9. Yes i have.

    Arsenal v (lots)

At The Emirates and at Highbury.

I live in Dartford, Kent UK, which is 1 and 1/2 hours train and tube journey away from The Emirates Stadium.

Not as many as id like to now, as others have put, ticket prices, lack of money, priorities change as you get older!

btw:  "people claim to be fans yet have never watched a proper game of Footie" ... it doesnt matter if your in the stadium, watching at home, listening to it on the radio ... you can STILL be a fan, in my eyes.

    ;-)

  10. not sure who your q. is aimed at or if you have a hidden agenda but I have watched Liverpool play live many many times, I do have the advantage of living here tho'....

Edit - cost is a big restriction these days as my priorities have changed plus the availability of tickets (very rare)....to some extent I am glad that there is a lot more TV coverage so I can still watch the games live.....

  11. Ive been to like 20 matches of my Brasilian club, Atletico Mineiro !!! the Mineirao holds up to 70k but the highest number of people who were present there were 22 thousand cuz my team WAS terrible.  i would watch a game in the stadium no doubt, at home its boring.

my team is still kinda bad....one member of the supporter group wrote a letter to the clubs president (Ziza) and threatened to harm his both sons and wife, if he doesnt resign as club president after this Friday. so yeah...bad team i got here :(

  12. Did few times.

Watched Radnicki Nis vs Crvena Zvezda (Red Star) 2 times.

Watched farewell game of Dragan Stojkovic - Piksi.

And watched few more games of Radnicki when he was in 1st Serbian league.

Radnicki is currently in 3rd Serbian league so you get that there's no point going lol + Nis is 2nd biggest city in Serbia and that is our best club. All due to decentralization of Serbia. I live in Nis, Serbia. Population around 500.000 and stadium can receive above 20.000 people this days.

As for other games, i've been twice to Belgrade on Marakana. Last time it was last year in UEFA cup, Red Star vs Bayern Munchen and before that i watched friendly Serbia vs Hungary which we won 5:0 i remember.

Trust me i'd be going every weekend if there was quality football like in La Liga, EPL or Serie A. Of course i prefer it over watching on TV, when you go there its like result does not even matter haha always having fun :D

  13. In the last couple of years I watched probably 50 games of Slovenian (where I live) 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th league because a lot of my friends are playing football, that would be probably like when you watch Milan at San Siro :), once at Maksimr Zagreb watching Dinamo (Croatian league match) and I was in Milan when Barca was playing last time there (when we eliminated you :D:D:D).... I will be more in Milan now since you got Ronaldinho and my friend is big Inter fan so we will go to Milan's derby without a doubt, I'm only 4 hours away from Milan.... I don't have time, tickets are not very expensive, when Barca was playing a friendly with Fiorentina the ticket+but was 200€ but like I said I didn't have time to go.... yesterday Slovenia was playing with Croatia and my friend had three tickets but had to stay here.... I hope Inter or Bayern will play against Barca in the CL this season;)

  14. Yes went watching the Manchester United friendly with Juve and last weekend went watching FC United. Thats the last two but over the years Ive been to Old Trafford more times than I care to remember

  15. I watched 2 weeks ago the game between El Ahly ( my home club ) and AS Roma that was my first game ever to watch it live

  16. Necaxa vs. Puebla at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City.

    ?Le vas al Puebla, wey?

Hahaha, you need to be Mexican to understand the last part :)

  17. I live in Dominican Republic, but while I was in Italy on vacations, I took the opportunity to go watch a Roma - Inter game.

I can tell you it was one of the coolest things ever.

Its not the same to watch a game in the comfort of your living room, than in a stadium with over 50,000 other people rooting for the same team.

    Roma lost :-(

  18. Ive been to 3 United matches vs. Benfica, Dynamo Kyiv and Roma. Takes a h**l of a journey to get to Old Trafford might i add.

Ive been to over 20 Rep. of Ireland home matches since 2003, which include Brazil, Portugal, Holland, Italy, France, Czech Republic (twice, beat them and drew with them =) unlike England) and of course the infamous Cyprus.

And of course my local team, not quite worldwide, not quite national, not quite regional, but more a district reputation.

I live in Tipperary in the south of Ireland.
