Honestly, does it surprise you that a team hasn't signed Barry Bonds yet?

Personally, at the beginning of the season, I was almost positive that a team was gonna pick him up. I know that no team wants to deal with his "baggage" but I'm still surprised.

So, just honestly, are you surprised that he hasn't signed with any team or did you expect it?

  1. It's probably because the Yankees have too many DH's already.

  2. Sadly yeah I thought a AL team would pick him up.

  3. I always thought that he wouldnt be picked up unless Jack Cust got hurt and the a's needed him...i thought that would be the only team willing to take on his "baggage"....i still think that now!

  4. More disappointed than surprised, moreso given the conditions his agent has detailed (major league minimum, will donate the money to buy tickets for kids).

It's an unofficial blacklisting, because he could help several teams, he's a bargain, and his legal issues are tabled until after the 2008 season. And if he's thinking a 2009 contract (and probably would be), he'll be a very good boy (even if the mediots won't let him be).

Winning paves over pretty much anything.

  5. Not really all the  thing surrounding him i don't think teams want to deal with it

  6. Not at all. no one wants the face of roids on their team.......

  7. NO however I wish someone would because he feeling Useless by no team signing him, I'm not Surprised but at the same time very sorry him for him.

  8. No. not surprised because i dont think any team would wanna sign a man with a huge ego + baggage to the team and then deal with all problems surrounding him...

  9. I'm not surprised and it goes farther than his steroid abuse.

He's not a team player, with a guy like that on your team there's conflict, all he cares about is his own statistics.

  10. I am very surprised. He's being treated like the Antichrist. I know far worse currently suiting up for teams right now.

It's funny that a lot of people who hate Barry figure A-Rod as their Saviour.

  11. a 45 year old has been who cant play defense, has a cancerous attitude and is doing roids allegedly?

    Not me.

  12. I am not the least bit surprised. He constantly has the media tagging along with him, creating a distraction to the team and management, he's a seflish player, and he wants WAY too much money.

IMO, the longer he's around, the longer people talk about steroids.

  13. I'm actually not surprised at all.  He kind did this to himself the way he acts in the clubhouse, then the 'roids scandal just solidified that no team wants his drama.

  14. well a team havn't picked up a player that has been accused numerous times with steroids so yea... it doesn't surprise me.

  15. yea they wont even give him the lowest salary

  16. I really thought an AL team would have picked him up.  His attitude toward his teammates, and his arrogance i think is preventing him from being signed.  I personally thought he was a great ballplayer.  If he wants to play that bad, he ought to play for nerxt to nothing................but he wont.............he like all the rest is after the money.

  17. Barry Who???
