Honestly, have you noticed any change in your appearance (skin, eyes, hair, nails, body) after going veg*n?

I was considering plastic surgery, but then someone told me about the wonders of the vegan diet.. particularly the raw one. Does veganism make you beautiful?

  1. since becoming vegan, - my skin is so clear and soft and glowing!

My amount of enegry to work out - and have an active/ sporty life has increased so much.

I have become more beautiful, inside and out. - and people seem to notice it.

I go to the local college to work out and most of the girls and guys in the gym think I am in my 20's - I am 31!

  2. I'm a vegan and my nails and hair grow super fast. My hair is 15 inches long measuring from the bottom of my neck and down.

  3. I'm not a vegetarian or anything, but I find all the health claims interesting..I am half Asian and I grew up in Hawaii, where we are known for our longevity and our health. The majority of the people that I know who grew up in Hawaii have nice skin and thick healthy hair, and few health problems--and no one I knew growing up was a vegetarian. True, we tend to eat a lot of fruits and vegetables and lean proteins, but have you ever seen a Hawaiian "plate lunch?" It's packed full of meat!! I wonder if you can get the same effect on your health by just eating in moderation? Just a guess.

By the way, maybe the vegetarians here choose to consume the bulk of their diet from foods imported from the Mainland, and not grown locally, but a lot of the vegetarians here don't look healthy...they look lethargic...their skin is pale, their appearance is quite gaunt and their hair is thin and scraggly, so I am wondering what the vegetarians down here are doing so differently?

  4. Well I'm a full vegaterian and people think I'm people but I'm not like the prettiest girl here or anything. Other people are still Prettier and stuff but they always say I'm pretty because I'm tall and really skinny...not bragging but I'm skinny because I don't eat all that meat and stuff which people get for proteins and I'm still healthy, beautiful (and I'm saying this because I have confidence in myself), and tall and skinny...to other people they tell me I look pretty :]

    hope it helped! :]

  5. I have never gone full vegan

but when i eat TONS of raw veggies + fruits

and stop the processed foods and eat

natural food with as little cooking as possible

I notice my hair get shiny and my skin glows

  6. Does veganism make you beautiful?  Of course not.

Would eating a healthy diet abundant in fresh fruits and vegetables make noticeable changes in your body?  Quite possibly.  Healthy people tend to look better than unhealthy ones.

  7. When I went vegan, my skin was much better, my nails and hair grew very fast.  When I switched back to vegetarian but reduced the amount of dairy products I ate, my skin stayed clear and firm, but the rapid growth in my nails and hair slowed down.  I still had good strong nails and hair, they just didn't grow as fast. When eating right, I also feel better and more energetic, which contributes to a youthful glowing appearance.

  8. I'm sure everyone's different, but after I went vegan:

    -my acne cleared up

    -my energy went up

-I was skinny but lost another 10 pounds while eating more (yeah!)

    -I heal faster

-my night vision is ridiculously good (i loooove carrots!)

-my nails and hair grow faster and stronger

-I feel wonderful physically and morally

I think veganism can provide so many good things for your body, as long as you make sure you're getting all the protein, nutrients, minerals, and all that other good stuff that your body needs.  Plastic surgery is invasive, risky, and unnecessary.  It can't hurt to try the vegan thing to see what it does before you cut yourself open, right?  Good luck :)

  9. my hair grows insanely fast, and ive got less acne
