Honestly, is it possible for me to grow anymore?

I'm 14 and 5 feet 3 inches.

I got my period when I was 12.

My dad is 6'1, mom is 5'0 and my sister is 5'7.

When I got my period I was 5'0 or 5'1, so I've only grown 2 or 3 inches in 2 years!

My doc said girls don't grow much after they get their periods, but this other doctor said that as long as I'm growing a quarter of an inch per year, that I'm still growing.

I don't know what to believe!

Is it possible for me to grow anymore? I really wanna be 5'7, but I don't know if I could POSSIBLY reach that height.

So is it possible for me to grow anymore?

  1. Yes of course, quite possible. Woman do not actually stop growing until their late teens - mid twenties. 5'7 may be a bit of a stretch, but you never know! C: I think 14 or 15 is about when I had a few growth spurts. You'd be amazed at what female body goes through in it's lifetime. Periods don't really have much to do with it, I got mine when I was 14, and I'm still growing taller (5'8 now!).

  2. My mom was the same height all throughout high school and then grew another inch when she was about 24. It's very much a possiblity that you might grow some more.
