Honestly Speaking... Is Kun Agüero Almost As Good As Messi?

Question

I'm not saying he is or isn't, but I find him to be an Amazing player [Not just because he plays for Atléti] He's got the moves and I find him to be a little Stronger than Messi, not as easy to knock down. So what do you think? Plus, he isn't over hyped by the media at least YET, hopefully he won't be...

well, kun shouldnt chase after messi. messi is on a diff level obv. (as seen today). i think kun's more a role player (played strictly as a striker) and shouldnt be compared coz he's pretty good at what he does. messi is more versatile tho , he can be played in a striker role or winger or playmaker  (at times he does all 3), thats his edge. if you watched the game just now, you see messi all over doing other stuff besides. he's given a lot of  leeway just like in barca whc kun doesnt hav either in atl mad or the arg team. and abt the hype, i wouldnt take that ag messi. he doesnt court/work it like the others do.

yea definitely, Messi may be a bit better but they are both phenomenal (I love saying that word lol) I'm jealous of Argentina they have the two best players in the world and they are only 20/21 years old, that's like at least 12 years of kicking every other countries butt

He's good but not as good as Messi and not even close actually ;) I actually think he is kinda getting over hyped already, thats just the way things go.

He is awesome but not as good as Messi or close to it yet. Dnt get me wrong, awesome and all but I do not recall someone able to do what Messi does. Dribble with such speed and unlike Kakà who uses space and speed, he can do it fast in short spaces with lots of people around.

When analysing if a player is better than another player, you need to ask yourself if Atlético were under the cosh having no attack would you see much of Aguero? Now ask yourself the same question with Messi when playing for Barca?

The fact is, Messi is the type of player that influences a game and forces himself into it which is what makes him amazing to watch because he loves attacking fullbacks and central defenders whereas others may go for a pass and play the percentage ball.

Aguero will grow to a similar role when he is in a more prone consistent side because he can learn to develop.

I think that Aguero is now the hyped up player for Argentina because some people are only just seeing him constantly in transfer rumours and highlights of the olympics etc. Everyone knows who Messi is, now everyone wants to see who the next hot property of European football is.

Actually....the Hype of the Next Maradona was on Aguero before it was ever on Messi in Argentina. Aguero (younger than Messi as well) made his professional debut almost a year earlier than Messi did @ Barcelona. Aguero grew a lot of hype while he was @ Independiente

Messi quickly got the attention on him after his terrific display in the 2005 U-20 World Cup and him being @ a big club like Barcelona helped grow his media hype very quickly worldwide.

I think they are both very good players and Argentina are very lucky to have two extremely talented players of their caliber come up the ranks almost at parallel. The scary part is that they both have room for improvement.

Aguero is capable of being a world class player in his own right. His impact @ A.Madrid has been very similar to the impact that Messi has had @ Barcelona.

They will be fun to watch for many years to come....

Edit:  Yup...it was 15....World Hype part...you are right about and Messi being @ Barca was really a key reason for him quickly gaining that hype and well deserved.

I just pointed that out for the many people on here who don't know about Aguero's past in Argentina (who I watched play)....Second Half!

Kun Aguero sure is a good player and a promising player for the Argentine team! but the difference between Kun Aguero and Messi is that Messi keeps improving while Kun Aguero is great in one game, good in another, and bad in another and very bad in another one so he's not the same all the times sure not all players are the same in all games but players like Messi they do better every now and then! that's what I like about Messi and others players, like Kun Aguero have the talent of Messi but what makes Messi better is that he knows how to use it!

oh come on now...i haven't seen much of him...if any at all, but he's no where near messi's ability .

I thought with finishing 4th and all "his goals" he would be getting bigger clubs throwing there self at him, but it doesn't seem like it...hmmmm
