  1. Thumbs up for Andrew M. and for blogbaba.

  2. This is ridiculous people are still debating this. Floyd won clearly if you know boxing and what it takes to win a fight then you wouldn't be asking this. Oscar wasn't landing punches you cant win a fight missing shots plain and simple. People wanted Oscar to win so bad that they seen a fight that didtn happen when a guy lands 50% or more of his punches you dont have much of an arguement. Oscar pressed the fight thats it if you look at those later rounds floyd really truned up the gear and oscar didnt have the juice to keep up. Its funny none of the boxing experts are debating if oscar won becasue even though the fight was boring they know boxing. When the decision was handed out none of the HBO commentators questioned it apposed to win Taylor beat hopkins everyone was yelling robbery. THE FIGHT WASNT EVEN CLOSE FLOYD SWEPT HIM IN THE LATE ROUNDS

  3. I SAW IT I THOUGHT FLOYD WON A CLEAR DECISION[BORING FIGHT, THO]

  4. I believe he won but not clearly , I cant argue the decision I felt it could have gone either way if de la hoya got it instead would be just as fair. Like Andrew said neither one dominated the other. I think the rematch will be a much better fight.

  5. You have a radiohead avatar. You shouldn't ask questions in the boxing section. Get out before I prison rape you.

  6. Yes, I thought he won the fight pretty clearly.  I was kind of shocked when I heard Michael Buffer announcing a scorecard for De La Hoya.  Look at the punch stats- Oscar THREW way more punches, but Floyd LANDED way more punches.  And landing punches counts more than throwing punches.  Oscar was the agressor but about a quarter of the way through the fight, he just abondoned his gameplan and let Floyd potshot him until the last round when he finally went after him again.  I thought Mayweather won by 116-112, but I could see 117-111 or 115-113. Anything closer than that, meaning a draw or a win for Oscar, is out of line in my eyes. And Oscar will have a chance to correct his mistakes anyway when they fight again this September if he gets by Steve Forbes in May.  I personally don't think that he can beat Floyd, but that doesn't mean that he won't prove me wrong.

  7. I had Floyd winning by 2 points.

  8. NO, and the judges agree with me too.

  9. Yes, we believe as it is or another way around because were not the judge. Same thing between Marquez and Pacquiao. Floyd however earned my respect for beating Hatton big time and Manny will also earn my respect if he KO'd another mexican in the future.

  10. odlh landed nothing. check compubox after each round, floyd completely outboxed him. seriously how many clean shots did oscar land. the judge who scored it to oscar must be blind. 117-111 mayweather. how can you make a case that oscar won?

  11. nah floyd won by a point, if oscar would have kept throwing that jab it would have been a different story.

That just tells u that a prime oscar would have beaten floyd

  12. YES. Oscar faded late on, Mayweather landed more shots and the cleaner shots (ring generalship and effective aggression seem to count for very little these days). I had the fight 116-112 in favour of Floyd. It'll be more of the same if they fight again in September, as mooted - especially if it's at 147. Would be interesting to see Oscar get down to that mark.

  13. Well I Think Mayweather Didnt beat DE LA Hoya. I would give the fight as a draw.

  14. That fight was stolen from Oscar...

  15. No.  I had Oscar winning by 2 rounds.  Close fight, wasn't a robbery or anything like that.  Mayweather didn't back up his talk AT ALL, that was what I took away from that fight.

  16. Mayweather did NOT prove to be better than De La Hoya. Oscar stopped using his jab and that cost him the fight. At the end neither opponent proved to master the other. It was a fairly close fight.

  17. yes and if you watch the fight with any amount of knowledge you would see the same as well

  18. Thumbs up to Andrew M, I agree.

  19. floyd won by 2 points
