  1. there movies are great aren't they?

i have read all the books and i personally love them and i'm 19 lol. my grandmother has even read them ha ha

i didn't think i would be into the series when it came out.....i thought boring!

but once i read the first book i couldn't put it down!!

this series isn't just for kids, it does have alot of adult humor in it aswell, and it is a very fascinating world and plot that J.K. Rowling has written. i

Start reading them again, and if your not into it then stop reading.

  2. The harry potter series are one of my all time favorite books...

I'm sure you'll not regret reading them!

To be honest , i don't like the first and the second book , cause Harry and his friends are still kids there , and i really can't relate to them.

But the latest books when they're teens , like  the 6th and 7th book , i quite enjoy reading them !

they're great series , if you like the movies , you will love the books , cause the books are so much better!

    xx Greetings ;]

  3. Twilight is nowhere near HarryPotter. Look at both plots, seriously? Harry Potter has so many twists and turns and amazingly sad parts, Twilight is nowhere near it. Wow, a freakin selfish girl named Bella wanting to become a vampire and get it on with Edward. Wow, freakin go watch some p**n.

  4. I'm 36yo & I loved all of the Harry Potter books. I couldn't put them down. In fact, I took a day off from work to stay at home & finish the fifth book. I think it's fantastic story telling - characters that you can relate to, mysteries that you want to solve, descriptive writing that you can imagine how everything looks. These are books that they're going to be teaching as classics in the next 50 years. Count on it.

  5. Ok- to completely understand and love Harry Potter, you have to start from the first book, which is more for little kids, the 8-11 set. This continues on in the second book, and the third book, a bit. Then it gets dark and teen-y. Even though the first few ones are a bit juvenile, don't forget what made harry potter famous: AMAZING writing, d**n good plots, and extremely, extremely, extremely good characters. So you might find HP boring in the first few books, but remember: hes 11. And in the last, he's 17.

  6. To my belief, 99% of people who read harry potter like it. 90% become instant fans. 45% become dangeorously obsessed. And the people who don't like harry potter? only 3% have actually tried reading them.

But seriously, this will be one of THE BOOKS that change your life. There's a lot more to it then "ooohh- magic!". Even if you don't like fantasy(which apparently you do) you WILL like the books. for me, the fantasy is just an added bonus. It IS actually part love story, when you get enough. definetely read it!! soon you'll have all the books on your shelf like me! :)

  7. Dude, just read the book. If along the way you like it then it's obviously worth reading for you.

  8. I used to think Harry Potter was horribly stupid.  Then I read the book.  The series is easily on my Top 10 list of favorites.

  9. Yes reading Harry Potter is worth it.  Read them in order and have a blast

  10. i personally prefer twilight but harry potter is still great. (I agree with breaking dawn ruining it) and harry potter gets better with each book.

  11. I do not know where to even begin.

YES. They are some of my favorite books of all time.

Harry Potter has such wonderful adventures, humor, the characters all seem very unique, and I love how Jo Rowling thinks of the plots and years. Honestly, once you read the 7th book, everything from Harry's first year and throughout the series is crucial, and it's just GENIUS. As childish as they may seem, I'm deeply in love with the series and the suspense KILLS me, especially in the 7th. You never know what will happen. In Harry Potter, everyone and their relationships have their ups and downs, it includes schoolwork and pressure, etc, it is very realistic, despite the spells and such.

Also, age doesn't matter. Harry Potter is for all ages and sexes, so don't worry about how old you are.

The movies? Oh, you should read the books before the next one comes out in July next year! The movies take so much stuff out, and everything is detailed in the books and are MUCH more humorous. Believe me! If you like the movies, you'll love the books.

You're not really losing anything by reading them, though, right? The books are already there, just pick them up now and start reading haha :)

To some people, it may seem boring at the start. Believe me, once you get into it, you cannot stop reading.

The book is a combination of action/fantasty/adventure/romance/ everything pertaining to life, as well. Have fun!

  12. I like the books cause they tell so much more than the movies. Just try them and If U don't like it, then don't finish it

  13. YES! The books are better than the movies and you will understand them more. Twilight rocked, too. Seriously though, read harry potter. if you don't like it, it isn't the end of the world either. You can at least say you tried them, but more than likely you'll like them!

  14. Yeah. Moms rush into the really good books when they should be reading the mediocre books that have lots of action to keep kids on their toes.

Harry Potter is practically a classic. It's a good series. You will appreciate it a lot more now that you're older.

  15. Well, if you loved the movies chances are you'll love the books! It is really a very good series. It's one of those must reads (In my opinion). There is sooo much more to the books than the movies can ever explain!!! Its a worthy investment!

  16. You will love it. Trust me. Once you start you won't be able to put it down. If you love th emovies, you will love the books even more. Anyway, it will be something to fill in the longggg space between now and hbp film = ]

  17. Read it and see if you like it. I think you'll enjoy it if you like the movies

  18. YES! Harry Potter is about twenty billion times better than Twilight could ever hope to be.

  19. Just try to read them. I can't appreciate anything that someone else reads to me, I have to read it myself. I'm not sure if that will make you like it more, maybe you like books better when they're read out loud? If you love the movies, you probably will like the books, honestly, the very first book, I was bored through the first few chapters, but I stuck through, and I loved the books, I'm probably the biggest fan in the world, ok, not really. Twilight is nowhere comparable to Harry Potter, honestly, take a look at the figures. Harry Potter sold over 400 million copies, Twilight sold about 8 million.

  20. If you love the movies, you'll adore the books.

The films leave out so much! It may be hard to believe but the books are more exciting, in my opinion :)

I think you should definitely give them a go, they are fantastic!

I just read Twilight, to see what all the fuss was about and I'm happy to say that I'm glad I gave them a go.

But Harry Potter outstrips Twilight by far, again....in my opinion as I grew up reading Harry Potter.

So hopefully now your a bit older and wiser, you can appreciate the HP series for the truly entrancing story it is.
