............It was really meant for the 'nurdy' data gathering types?

I had visions of college buffs gathering data for 'statistical analysis' and various other mathematical functions.

i thought it was a bit like that too, when i first came on i hadnt a clue what half the questions were about, like the odd avatar game that got through, and it took a while to get used to the regulars and the good laugh they had together, i was mainly on the Jokes and Riddles section but i found this one a lot more fun
