Honestly what is your opinion of the Detroit Tigers? I think they are a good team but just had a rough start, and if you think about it they came a long way so far! Do you think anything is possible? Do you think they have any chance at all of being in the post season? If not this year do you think next year with the same team they can do it as long as they kick it up? Nice answers please. Nothing negative. If you don't think they will do good then just nicely state it--don't go all negative. Thanks!

  1. I'm a huge tiger fan and have either watche or listened to every game for the past 4 years, havent missed one! I disagree with the Jair Jurrjens trade and the pudge trade. Farnsworth is ok, but we've seen him give up too many HR's already! Renteria is okay, but is struggling with the bat. Willis has potential for next year. They have been the biggest dissapointment this year outside of the mariners. With the talent they have they should not lead the league in shutouts. I think they should have bolstered their bullpen, not the lineup, the lineup was better last year really, if you think about it? just think of all the games against Chicago and stuff where we were leading in 8th or 9th at home and away that if we could have won those games where we'd be in the standings? I think we need a new pitching coach, I think sheff prob should go, just not the same as he used to be. I think Jurrjens should have stayed and Robertson shoudl get a diff job! You get sick of him going out there and giving it up all the time! They have to score a min of 5 runs when he's out there normally. Kenny has been very good this year, but has gotten little run support since his 1st start in april! Right now i only wait to see the gallaragga/miner starts becuase those are the only games that are actually well played! I am a big kenny fan, but he gets litterally no support or the pen blows his leads! not his year, btu he's still good. they should have kept the lineup the same, but bolstered the pen, got rid of robertson, kept jurrjens, it would be a diff team i bet!

  2. Please, everybody say it with me.

    SHEFFIELD'S GOTTA GO!!!

  3. One of the most talented teams in the league but are massively underachieving. And postseason may be out of the question at this point unless somebody completely collapses.

  4. Most disappointing team in baseball this season. Before the season I predicted them winning the Central and possibly going to the World Series.

  5. How can I use language that won't get me kicked off the board. They are losing. I think they've given up. That is wrong because playoffs or no playoff a team should give its best in games. Instead they are counting the games left to play until they can go on their off season cruises to the Caribbean.

  6. not a bad team...but under performing from what what expected from them at the beginning of the season...many predicted that theyd win the world series even

  7. Their not a bad team, although they do have some guys that are just getting too old.  Their bullpen could use a little help and outside their top 2 starters they could upgrade there as well.  They have come a long way, but I just don't see them in the post season with how well the Twins and White Sox are playing.  With a few of the right moves and maybe having Miguel Cabrera shed a few pounds they should be contenders next season.

  8. I think they could be a good team but a few things have troubled me this year; the trade of Ivan, all the arm troubles of the pitchers, and what has happend with Shuefield. They are also bringing in alot of older guys which have name recognition and bring fans in to the park but its a gamble predicting how they'll do on the field and sometimes their contracts are high. one serious red flag I see with them, is a couple years ago they were known for trying to bring in as many Hard throwers as they could find and they did great. Hard throwers are typically what all teams are after. They had a bunch but you need to figure out exactly what has happend to all their's and why

  9. Pretty much a .500 team that was hyped up in spring training.  Decent hitters but pitching staff isn't so great

  10. What a disappointment. The team that made one of the biggest trades of the off-season for Dontrelle Willis and Miguel Cabrera. Cabrera is doing well but Willis was a total waste. For such a promosing club they truly suck. I dont see any hope for them making the postseason.
