Honey Wagon all set for the Advanced Vehicle Leasing Trophy
The three-year-old black dog, Honey Wagon, makes the most promising entry for the Advanced Vehicle Leasing Trophy that will be held at Sunderland over 450 metres flat on Wednesday, 29th August. He put in a lot of effort after rolling into the
new season and then bounced in once again after getting tuned through two training sessions.
Competing alongside him and taking their chances for taking back the £300 prize money to the connections are Last Lap, Holiday Kieran, Final Boe, Crossfield Halle and Black Jedamac.
Royal Impact’s son struck a hat-trick after missing the three tries that followed the race which declared him ‘not raced’. The threesome victory began on 19th May, 2012 at Sunderland over 450 metres. The three-year-old raced in the middle after
breaking from the first trap, shifted to the rails and then led on from the first position, taking 28.17 seconds to race through the wire.
His dominance over half the length had Cornamaddy Kitty settling as the runner-up.
The third and final pillar for the hat-trick presented itself in the William Hill Standard on 2nd June, 2012 at Sunderland over 450 metres. The favourite entry incurred a slight collision after breaking from the second gate but held on to the
chance of leading through halfway. It took him 27.65 seconds for settling the race and taking charge of the final 2 ¼ lengths.
Qualifying as the runner-up after racing for 27.83 seconds was, Trickys Biscuit.
His conviction in the next race dropped down as he missed Williamhill.Com Classic Trial Stakes on 16th June, 2012 by 3 ½ length and clocked the track distance in 28.85 seconds.
The race was won by, Mill Hercules, in 28.57 seconds.
The trainer, G. Oswald, got the three-year-old trained at Sheffield and then at Coventry over two different distances. He ended fifth right after that and then was victorious in the very next race.
Honey Wagon won the Owlerton Bookmakers 480 – Dup on 7th August, 2012 at Sheffield over 480 metres. Once again it only took him half way’s lead for being the quickest to settle the race. He made it to the other end of the wire in 28.15 seconds.
