Honey Wagon to create an impact in the Owlerton Bookmakers 480 – Dup
The three-year-old, Honey Wagon, proves to be the most credible entry for the Owlerton Bookmakers 480 – Dup that is to be raced over 480 metres flat race on Tuesday, 7th August at Sheffield. Suffocating his chances for bagging the race and trying
to make the most out of the race today are Demesne Sparkles, Frisby Fontenblu, Tewmax Leejay, Corduff Star and Clerihan Gold. The prize money set for the race is £200.
It has not been very long since the G. Oswald trained rolled into the new season. He kick started the season with training sessions which did not prove fruitful for the first three races of the 2012 campaign.
Without another training session, Royal Impact’s son struck a hat-trick. All the three races were at Sunderland over 450 metres. Surprisingly each time the hound beat his own timing over the distance. On 19th May, he started off with resting the
race in 28.17 seconds, brought it down to 27.86 seconds in the next try and then finally took 27.65 seconds for claiming the honour.
The three-year-old out of, Honey Princess, won the William Hill Standard on 2nd June, 2012 at Sunderland over 450 metres. After leashing out from the second gate he got obscured first and then led halfway winning by the margin of 2 ¼ lengths.
Finishing the closest to the wire was, Trickys Biscuit who rested the race in 27.83 seconds and was soon followed by, Crossfield Halle.
Failing to extend the hat-trick and instead scoring a second position in a 450 metres race at Sunderland on 16th June, 2012, ended up with him getting drilled twice. First at Sheffield over 280 metres and then at Coventry over 485 metres.
Instead of improving the lost form of Honey Wagon, the impact took an altogether different route, landing him fifth in the most recent outing at Coventry.
The three-year-old has got drilled at Sheffield twice and is finally racing there today. Racing just once after the training session might still have the possibility that he shines out by the second time he sets for a race.
He is supported by 9 to 2 chances for the race tonight.
