Honey bees.....disappearing???

Question

I was just wondering if anyone knew why all the honeybees were disappearing?? I have read several articles about this recent condition, and then I read the questions here at yahoo answers. when I searched "bees" , alot of questions popped up. Most were about eradicating or killing bees. Perhaps this is part of the problem. I bet if we all stopped killing bees and let them survive, that would help the bee population. Maybe this recent decline of bee population wouldn't be such a problem if we all let the bees we come in contact with live and dont automatically think to kill them. This is a huge problem and could potentially affect all people as bees polinate most of our food crops. Think about it........

It turns out the problem is a virus that was unknown to the American bees.  It is like the simple viruses that killed off so many native - Americans when the Europeans came.
