  1. molasses

  2. Agave nectar. It is a natural sweetener and better for you than sugar. Look in the organic foods section of the grocery store or at a natural foods store.

  3. golden syrup.  It's what fake maple syrup is made from, basically

    liquid semi refined sugar.

  4. Agave, and Blue Agave are two products that are made from the Agave plant which is a cactus, are sweet and viscous like honey and are a good substitute for it. it has 60 calories per Tbs. It doesn't have quite the acidity that honey has however. But it has a much better balance than Barley Malt, Or Brown Rice  Syrup both of which are sweet and are viscous alternatives to Honey.

To simply add sweetness to a tea or something else like that, however, nothing works as well as Stevia either powder or liquid -- which has 0 calories and 0 carbohydrates.

  5. Agave nectar is very sweet.

  6. There is a product called Suzanne's Just Like Honey, which is made from rice nectar.  It looks, smells and tastes more like honey than anything else I've tried.

You can also try agave nectar.  It doesn't taste like honey, really, but it's sweet and syrupy.

  7. Agave nectar is often recommended for diabetics because of the low glycemic index rating. Agave is also the substitute some vegans use for honey.

  8. I use brown rice syrup. It's nice because you can sub it for your honey (like with your tea) and also your sugar (like when you bake).

It's an acquired taste, but you get used to it. It's not as sweet as honey, so if you are concerned at all about blood sugar, this might be the choice for you.

At my local health food store, it was about the same price as honey too.

  9. try rice bran syrup, as far sugar actually being good for you this rice bran syrup is as close as you can get.

  10. Sugar.

  11. Molasses

    Maple Syrup

    Simple Syrup

    Corn Syrup

But if your not allergic to honey or anything there is a sugar free honey, here it is

  12. hmm how about pure maple syrp?

  13. Maple syrup (The real stuff)

  14. agave nectar is the bomb.
