We would love to go to Italy for our honeymoon in December. Is it just entirely too cold to enjoy everything that Italy has to offer?

  1. Go to http://www.love.allabouthoneymoons.com they can plan any type of trip not just honeymoons. If you tell them what you like and your budget they will plan the perfect trip for you.Best of all the service is free b/c the fee is paid by the hotel or resort.

  2. u might wanna go around spring or summer, cuz the weather's gunna suck if u go then.

  3. I think Italy in the winter is a wonderful time to go, however, it won't be warm.  If you have an image of spending sun-drenched days on the beach on the Amalfi coast, you may want to re-evaluate things.

Also, the question of how cold depends on where in Italy.  Just to give you an idea, Florence is about on the same Latitude asVermont (44 degrees N.), and between Naples and Sicily is about the same Lattitude as Philadelphia (40 degrees N.). Obviously, the weather patterns aren't exactly the same, but just want to give you some perspective.

Again, I think Italy is a wonderful place to visit anytime of year, but just get yourself in the right frame of mind before going...

  4. It would not be too cold, especially in mild southern italy.  You could tour both north and south just plan on the colder northern weather and the warmer south.

  5. warmth of the honeymooners is sufficient to scortch dear, here is the list of the italian charm

  6. Hi

Awww how romantic..and the answer is yes its cold..but never too cold to enjoy!!! I love the place and have been there summer & winter!! the place is so full of warmth and sooooooooooo romantic!! You will not be disappointed :))

Whatever you decide, have a great christmas and a fantastic Honey Moon!!

  7. Not al all.. I mean, it's usually cold, ranging from very cold - Alps - to almost warm - Sicilly, but IMHO opinion, smoldering hot and tourists overcrowded Summer is far worse. Actually, Winter is the best time to go for art/museums/churches, since there are not so many people you can look at your ease. Just expect some ordinary "Christmas frenzy" (many people shopping, traffic, overcrowded trains..), check opening hours (they could vary or be closed around Xmas and New Year's Day), wear warm clothes, and enjoy.

  8. hi from Rome, Italy! Honeymoon in December in Italy could be a very good idea. December is warmer than January and February.

In Rome, Florence, Naples, Sicily you can find good weather and temperature from 10 to 20 degrees. In the North of the country (Milan, Turin e.g.) it is colder but it you can visit it with no problems.

I live in Rome and I suggest you to visit (if you have 2 weeks):

    - Rome - Florence - Venice - Naples.

Near Naples you can a find a little "Paradise": the "Costiera", Amalfi, Sorrento, Positano and the Islands of Capri and Ischia.

    Best wishes... !
