Honeymoon in the snow - Australia/New Zealand?

My fiance and I are getting in married in July 09 and want to spend our honeymoon in a nice cozy log cabin/cottage in the snow, somewhere in Aust or NZ.

Where can you suggest? it need to be within 2hrs of a ski field as at least 1 or 2 days we want to go learn to ski.

Hi Im American and really can relate- I live in Aus and really miss that cozy winter feelings. I know your wedding has come and gone but I just wanted to share.. if you EVER want to have a real wintery Christmas, fly to the Northwest of America. Go to Oregon and check out the many, many cabins in the snow and ski fields up the way. Once you get there, its beyond affordable. Last time we went we skiied at Willamette Pass and it was $50 for all day ski rental, lift ticket AND lesson! We stayed in an amazing cabin with its own hot tub/spa on the deck in the snow.. $80/night. Im dying to go back!
