Can a person born in Hong Kong have a Chinese passport?

  1. I don't think so. But you can apply Hong Kong ID card and then a Hong Kong-Mainland travel document. With both documents, you can travel between Mainland and HK as convinient as Chinese, or even more convinient.

  3. What do u mean chinese passport? Hong Kong is a chinese country and they belong to china now too..

  4. we dont need a passport to live or work in China.  but we do need an entry pass to get through the China customs.  mine is a 10 yrs pass.

    same to Macau.
