Hong Kong Open: Minatsu Mitani overwhelms Sapsiree Taerattanachai in Women’s Singles first round
Japan’s talented player Minatsu Mitani found a perfect start in Women’s Singles category as she remained successful in winning against Sapsiree Taerattanachai in first round of Yonex Sunrise Hong Kong Open 2012 on Wednesday, November 21, in Hong Kong.
The in-form Minatsu, who has been showing amazing performance in the recent tournaments, showed a stunning performance in the starting round and easily trounced Sapsiree in just 35 minutes.
Japanese shuttler was on a different level on court as she played with remarkable precision and maintained her supremacy in the arena all the way to end up the match in straight games with a dominating margin.
In the meanwhile, the underdog Sapsiree faced a fierce attack from her rival in the opening set. However, she gave a good fight in the following game but not enough to avoid defeat from the hands of her Japanese rival in straight sets.
Minatsu played with excellent control in her shots and managed to take over the pace of rallies from opening rallies of the first game.
The impressive variations in Minatsu’s shots assisted her to maintain her authority against her challenger in the arena.
It was Minatsu who did not show any mercy to her aggressive challenger in the first half and took a spectacular lead on score board.

Sapsiree was once again in trouble in the second game as she faced a punishing treatment from her opponent who was flawless in the arena.
The in-form Japanese shuttler exhibited her overwhelming craft in the arena by picking the bird early from all corners and maintained her supremacy over her rival.
Minatsu continued playing positive badminton in the concluding part of second game and remained successful in winning the set with a tight margin of 21-19.
The impressive Minatsu remained successful in winning this first round clash in just 35 minutes with a 21-8 and 21-19 score on the board.
