How much would a branded (adidas, nike etc.) men's shirt cost in Hong Kong and where to buy them without falling for the good quality fakes that abound in the street market?

The best way to be sure of getting an authentic branded item is to buy it from a major department store or an official boutique, never at a street market. Major malls can be found in Central, Tsim Sha Tsui and Causeway Bay. There's one in Admiralty (across from the MTR station) and some can also be found in Mongkok and Kowloon Tong (although this last location might be a bit out of the way for a tourist).

As to price, $250 might be a reasonable guesstimate.

it would cost about HK$100 on offer and about HK$150-$200 normal price. i personally would prefer tsim sha tsui ocean terminal although it might be a bit more expensive but its garanteed to be genuine
