I am a 10th grader getting into the IB prgram. I am signed up for H. Chemistry but have been thinking about switching into AP Chemistry. My counselors do not recommend 10th graders doing AP Chem. So I was wondering how much harder is AP Chem. then Honors? And have alot of 10th graders suceeded and done it?

Thank You

  1. I took Honors Chem as a 10th grader and AP Chem as an 11th grader. To be honest, AP is much harder. You will go more in depth, and some concepts were very difficult to grasp. At my school, only juniors and seniors are permitted to take AP Chemistry. I think AP will be a little easier if you have taken Honors the year before. Good luck!
