Honors advanced algebra and trig. vs standard?

I am a junior in HS. This year i am in Honors advanced algebra and trig. I have been good at math since i was little, and i have previously been in Honors math classes. However, this year my teacher is HORRIBLE. She moves way to fast and no one in class has time to understand what she is doing.

I would like to move down to standard advanced algebra and trig(it uses same book and covers same material, just you don't get "H" grades added to your GPA. )

i have a 4.05 GPA

My question is this: if i move down to this standard version of the class, will colleges not care about me because i did not take the honors version?

  1. You really have to get past the horrible teacher and buckle down to what you want out of it all.  A 4.05 GPA tells me you are smart, so use that intelligence to get through the class.  IF you move down to the standard class, most colleges won't be overly concerned, while some more prestigious ones might be.  Talk to your guidance counselor for details.
