  1. They are a lot harder than normal classes. I wouldn't really know how to compare though, since I've been in all honors classes for a couple of years. It isn't that hard I guess, idk.

  2. Ok, well if you want to get into a top-notch university you might just have to suck it up and take these classes. I have taken honor and Ap classes and they helped me get into Harvard, Yale, Dartmouth, Berkeley, and many more prestigious schools. So the advice is, yes take them, and yes they'll be harder than CP classes, but the reward is great once you get into your dream school.

  3. no honors classes at my school are basically then same as regents classes but you do  more work but not like a ton more and have more expecterd out of you

  4. NO....I have almost all honors....no worries...the classes are not that hard...

  5. It really depends on the person. For example, if your weakness is math, you'd think an honors math class is on the harder side, while someone who's mathematically gifted would think it's easy. It also depends if you got the recommendation from your last years' teachers to take the honors classes.

I've been taking all honors classes all through high school. I don't think it's hard; it's the APs that are a bit rigorous...then again, that's probably because my first AP was AP World History. 10,000 years of history, fun. But I lived.

  6. It really depends on what school you go to, your teacher and stuff like that.  When I was in 9th grade honors global and english, it wasn't too hard, but there were a few really long, hard essays that had to be completed throughout the year.  Actually, 9th grade honors was pretty fun, becuase we had more priveleges being the "more advanced" kids, such as field trips and activities.

However, some honors teachers assign tons of homework, which is a bit of a problem.  But i'm sure you'll be fine if you do your homework and actually read the books they give you instead of spark noting them :)

If you're really wondering how hard it will be, email (or have your parents email if you don't want to) your teacher and ask her what they are like. I'm sure you're not the only one who wonders that...

(plus you've probably been accepted into the program, so the teachers selected you out of a bunch of students because they think you'll do well!!)

GOOD LUCK!!!!  I'm sure you'll be fine!

    :)

  7. well im guessing honors class is like a college class??

well ill start with that, i took a college world history class my sophomore year, and its not that it was hard, it was just so much reading and so much work. sometimes it was really hard because she would put you on the spot when you didnt know.

other than that, not too hard..good luck

  8. At my school to graduate with honors, you had to take at least 1 AP class, a pre-AP class along with a couple other challenging courses, and i'm pretty sure we had to take at least 1 college class. We also had to have a 4 year cumutive GPA of at least 3.65. Only like 12 out of about 130 graduates got it, and i was one of them.

  9. It depends on the honors classes you have. Are they AP or just honors? If you're a good student, which if you were put in honors classes, you most likely are, the honors classes should be no big deal. Maybe just a few more assignments/essays. Some of the explanations might be a little more in depth, but nothing to sweat about. :) Good luck!
