Hooh Why all set for Girls, Incorporated of Shelbyville, Shelby County Stakes at Indiana Downs
Hooh Why is aiming for her fourth victory this season, as she gears up for the Girls, Incorporated of Shelbyville, Shelby County Stakes, scheduled to take place at Indiana Downs on Wednesday, June 27th.
The 6-year-old is brimming with confidence following a few tremendous rides lately and the connections feel that there is no reason why she should not have a big run this time. In pursue of a handsome cash prize, ten speedy runners are all set to show their
magic.
Hooh Why has been doing a very decent job since the start of this year and her wonderful stats tell the whole story. After clinching an emphatic win at Gulfstream Park, the mare surprisingly lost her direction for a while, finishing eighth in the Grade 3
Hillsborough Stakes at Tampa Bay.
Despite suffering an embarrassing defeat, she did not lose her determination and quickly got her act together. After crushing her rivals in the First Dude Turf Distaff Stakes, the dashing mare did not relax and continued her ruthless march to win the Handicap
at Tampa Bay.
In her latest appearance, the mare was slightly unlucky, finishing second behind Upperline in the Grade 3 Arlington Matron Stakes at Arlington Park in late May. The connections are satisfied with Hooh Why’s progress so far, expecting her to register the
fourth turf victory of the season.
“She travels well. Seems like we are always travelling to take on horses on their own turf. It isn’t often that we get to run her right out of her stall,” said the owner, Mark Hoffman.
He continued: “She ran a big race last out and is really having a great 6-year-old season. She really runs well on the grass. We will point her to the Illinois Owners on the turf at Arlington in August. She won that race last year.”
Hooh Why is certainly in good shape at the moment, but will have to come up with an impressive effort in order to do something special in the $100,000 event. An exciting battle in on the cards, as the line-up includes many dangerous competitors such as,
Hard Seven, Credit Crunch and Platinum Exchange.
