Question:

Hooking up a system on a boat.

my buddy is hooking up a system on his boat.he already has a 4 channel. but he wants to add another amp. a kicker 350.2 i wanna say with 2 RE 10" SUBS. he has is all wired but says he is getting very little out of the subs. can someone help?

  1. i hope all the speakers were marine audio. if not you kinda messed up. i seen so many people put regular speakers in the absorb some water and blow!. save you some money and put the marine version in. they seriously a difference i dont know what the companies are doing but they obviously doing something to save you money.

    you don't want water in you speakers, around your speakers whatever.people even get there speakers wet and messed up just when it rains and water seeps into the door panels. that why most car put the water sealant covers on the doors so the speakers stay dry and the door inside stays clean and working.

    and the re audio subs can handle more than 350 watts so you should  just upgrade the amp,if not try wiring it at 2 ohms or a parallel this works only on dual voice coil speakers. MARINE amp as well(water does the same damage to amps as it does to speakers).and tape off all the ares with wires showing so with electrical tape.
