I am getting a new tv and i have a few questions about how to hook everything up. My tv has 3 HDMI, component, analog and optical hookups. My reviever has optical, component, and analog connections. and i am looking into getting a PS3 for a multi purpose blue ray and game console. I'm upgrading my cable system to hd and just wondering what's the best way to hook everything up. Im not sure what kind of hookups the ps3 has so if anyone could help i would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

  1. Hook your ps3 and cable box into the tv via HDMI.  This will handle your high-defintion video.  Now you need to take care of the sound.  Use optical cables for the audio from you ps3 and cable box to your surround sound receiver.  VOILA! You're good to go.

  2. use an HDMI cable to hook ur ps3 to ur tv for the best quality and for ur cable i guess u should use component cable
