I'm asking this for my fiacee. (Honestly) :). She is going to wear a hoop under her wedding gown and wants to know will panties be enough to cover... her private areas or should she get pantaloons? Were getting married in October so the weather may be a little cool here in Pennsylvania.

Thanks.

  1. i think this is something she can decide on her own

  2. YIKES. She's really wearing a hoop?? Your venue better have like twenty feet between tables because its IMPOSSIBLE to to walk in crowded spaces. And sitting down...it's going to be a NIGHTMARE. But pantaloons? I think that would just be humiliating. Tell her to wear a long slip or something. Or even leggings. PLEASE not pantaloons.

  3. i had a dress with hoops and yes just panties is enough. she might try what I did after the wedding and the important pictures were all taken, I dismissed myself for just a few minutes and I took off the hoop skirt part. this allowed the dress to lay against yourself and the worry of what might be seen when sitting won't be a worry. She can also try all this before the wedding to see what she thinks of then she will know how she wants to wear her dress after wards.  Good luck on your upcoming wedding!!!!!!

  4. No one really wears pantiloons anymore.  regular panties plus tights or nylons should be plenty.

Make sure her seamstress shows her how to sit with the hoop and petticoats.  If you don't sit correctly, you will end up flashing everyone.  I'm speaking from experience as I had a hoop and petticoat under my dress and when I got into the limo I flashed all my bridesmaids, which is not big deal I'm glad it didn't happen at the reception!
