Hooray showing signs of improvement ahead of Guineas: Horse Racing news
Champion racehorse Hooray is, like all other racehorses, working really hard to impress her fans and connections when she goes on to perform in the Qipco 1000 Guineas event. In her training sessions, the racehorse has been able to satisfy her trainer as
she has been showing signs of improvement with every passing day.
Nonetheless, her connections are not yet certain whether she will be a part of the mega event, which has been scheduled to take place on 1st May as a feature of the Newmarket Classic meeting. It has been revealed that her connections will confirm
the participation of Hooray in the Guineas later this week.
The top rated filly is the trainee of famed trainer Sir Mark Prescott. Her credibility in terms of performance and not potential was doubted by her experienced trainer in the winter racing season. Nonetheless, he has declared that the racehorse has shown
improvement and could be considered for the Guineas event. The filly is the best priced racehorse for the 1000 Guineas at odds of 16-1.
It has also been reported that Prescott said that the filly had improved her eating habits over the last couple of days and had been working just fine this morning. Prescott also said that before confirming her participation in the Newmarket meeting, he
would like to assess her for a few more days.
Prescott said, "She has been eating a bit better over the last ten days and she worked fine this morning. We'll see how she works later in the week, see how she eats up afterwards and we'll know a lot more then."
Hooray last participated in the Dubai Duty Free-sponsored Fred Darling Stakes. Talking to the correspondents about the significance of this race in the development of Hooray, Prescott said, “Firstly, I was delighted for Prince Faisal (Rimth’s owner) as I
train for him. From the race point of view, it was better that she won the race than not, but it doesn’t mean much as the previous race was six months ago.”
Hooray’s stable mate Clinical is a 25-1 shot with Ladbrokes for the Irish 1000 Guineas that has been scheduled to take place on 22nd May.
