Hoots Mon becomes hot favourite for Bags Track Championship - Sprint
The way Hoots Mon performed during the last three months was really marvellous. By winning the Bags Track Championship – Sprint at Swindon on November 2, the K. Hutton trained black dog impressed the punters a lot.
With the same title, another race is waiting for Hoots Mon tonight. This time, the format is IT and the venue is Oxford. But unlike past, the three-year-old veteran hound poses to be the hot favourite candidate this time as the bettors have given him 2-1
odds considering his recent success streak.
The brilliant dog has been performing and winning consistently throughout his career. He has made marks in all the major formats of the game. His exposure to Oxford is good enough.
The talented son of Droopys Scolari out of Marinas Breeze has accomplished many glaring feats in the current racing season.
After winning an A1 race by the big margin of 6 ¾ lengths on July 6, Hoots Mon remained off-the-mark for a few weeks.
The dog returned to form on August 31 when he marvellously won an IT contest by beating the favourite candidate, Droopys Harper, with the margin of 3 ½ lengths.
The skilled greyhound made another impressive upset on September 8 when he outplayed the 5-4 favourite, Forest Ted, by 6 ¼ lengths to win an A1 race.
After finishing first in a T3 race of October 30, Hoots Mon registered the epic triumph of November 2.
That streak was marvellous indeed. Hutton’s pupil is confident enough to add another feat to his profile, and hopefully, he will manage to do it.
However, the favourite candidate will have to be wary of Barnagrane Clark who can give him a tough time.
The M. Massey trained black dog also made some glaring marks during the last three months.
After registering a hat-trick during August-September, he bagged the title of Claydon Racing At Witney Race Night on October 27. He elegantly won an A4 race on November 11.
These stats show that Barnagrane Clark can prove to be a tough runner in the race. Thus, a fierce battle is imminent between him and Hoots Mon with the latter having an edge.
