Hoover Z 700 Model U9145-900

Question

The agitator brush roll has quit turning, the agitator stall light is not on.
The belt is ok, the agitator brush motor does not turn. This vacuum has only been used 7 times ! Purchased the fall of 2006. Hoover repair centers say "can't fix it because they can't get any parts from hoover for this model". The couple times it was used it did not pick things up very well. Thats when I realized the brush wasn't turning.
