How you 'brew' coffee depends on the type of coffee maker you have.  

If you don't have a coffee maker, just boil water (measure it first) and when it is at a 'full boil' toss in one teaspoon of coffee grounds for every 6 ounces of water (a 'cup' is 8 ounces, but the measurement for a 'cup' of coffee is 6 ounces of water ... dumb, but the way it 'is') and let it continue to boil until the water looks black.  Turn the water off and immediately drop in a CLEAN eggshell (about 1/2 of a round shell) and wait five minutes for the shell and 'grounds' to get to the bottom of the pan.  Pour gently so only the 'coffee' comes out and not the grounds and eggshell.  Drink VERY CAREFULLY because this is still EXTREMELY HOT.

I also know how to use a 'percolator' ... both stove top and electric ... a 'drip brewer' ... and a French press ... but I am not going to tell you how to do that here.  Go out and buy a cup of coffee at any coffee house, and buy yourself a pot and READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!
