  1. as long as you have really good filtration, lots of years. i  had a tank of feeder goldfish, that my lizard wouldn't eat, bought them each for a nickel each. that was 6 years ago, and they are still living, and huge!!!! i moved out of state, but a friend put them in a pond, most are pretty close in size to the koi he has

  2. I thing that one in England lived for 42 or so years, but it was in a decent tank and had good care.

For a Fancy goldfish 10 years is a good lifespan, common goldfish expect up to 20 years.

But thats only going to happen in a large well filtered tank, stick a common goldfish in a 5 gal 'beginner' tank and it will be lucky to live 6 months.

  3. Probably on average 10-15 years. If kept in completely  proper conditions, then I would say more than that.

  4. 10 years is rather common with good care and a proper sized tank

  5. not long

they need to be kept IN the aquarium where there is water not on it

about 10 years if kept in the aquarium

  6. i think the world record is 42 years. It depends onn your skills.
