Hop on hop off trip in rome - is it worth? or visiting by metro is better? I have just a day in Rome.?

I have heard of traffic problems in rome. Will hop on hop off be a waste of time? we are staying near termini!

The hop-on, hop-off bus makes a circuit through the main tourist areas covering all the big attractions. The metro is more oriented to moving commuters. You can get to many of the tourist areas, but will have to do some walking to get to some other areas. In addition, you can see the city from the bus - you're underground on the metro. With only one day, I'd go with the tourist bus.

Personally, I walk most of the times when I'm in Rome.

One day in Rome is going to be frustrating, there's lots to see and the city is huge, metro does take you close to the known places but the city is so big, that I don't think is worth it, although it all depends where you live, If you live very far from Rome and you probably will never return that way, then go ahead and have a pick. Great city, nice Ice Creams near Piazza Navona.
