Hope I'll be okay in Italy?

Question

When I'm 18 I'll be going to Italy as an exchange student for one year. I'm sort of scared though because I heard that Italian guys chase woman around a lot. Will I be okay?

I just came back from Italy and I've seen how guys react when they see a hot girl. Just like here at home. So you'll be OK. Besides they are very friendly towards Americans.

when I was in Italy, I found the Italian guys are very gentle and nice, I think you should be OK

I also went and studied a year in Italy, Italian men are very aggressive but usually understand no. I reccomend just ignoring someone that you don't want to talk to. The worse guy I actually experienced in Italy was Indian, I was walking to meet some friends to go to dinner and he just basically invited himself to join us and then didn't pay for his portion of the meal!! When going out with new men be sure to be in public places.  Before I left they taught me to say "lascia mi in pace" leave me in peace or "vai via", which isn't as nice, which means go away.

If you are cute then they'll chase you as they do where you are from.

I'm Italian, i live in nyc and i've been to italy many times...I have family there....They are no worse than any where else...

Just be yourself, act classy, don't take no c**p from no one and you'll be fine....trust me, there's a lot of places a lot worse than Italy to worry about stuff like this..
