Hope i don't upset all the Madonna fans out there but should she really be doing what she does at 50?

She is no spring chicken anymore and i find the way she goes about her act these days is a little bit odd for a fifty year old.I mean dance music is hardly relevant for some one her age,it's a little bit scary! P.S. I am not ageist either

  1. Well, if i look like that at 50 ill prolly be shakin it too.  She's still selling records so why stop now?  And look at Cher, Celine Dion, Marie Osmond, they are still going . . .  and if Brett Michaels and Sebastian Bach can pretend they are still awsome, so can they :)

  2. Yeah, I definitely agree with you on that one.

  3. i think she should enjoy what she has.

  4. I agree. I feel sorry for her kids it must be embaressing

  5. You're right............but then again.........I didn't like when she was out there at 23 either.

  6. Why not? She's still a s**y lady, and why should she stop doing what she enjoys just because people like you think that only young people are allowed to be public figures? Life doesn't stop at 35, you know, you don't become a different person or start telling kids to get off your lawn just because you are older. What is "relevant" to her is what she feels is relevent, not what society's ideals of beauty or appropriateness dictate to her.

In response to your edit - maybeI did miss your point, because I'm afraid I genuinely don't understand your point of view.

Why wouldn't you want to see you grandmother going out and playing music if she enjoys it? No-one's forcing you to watch, after all.  Better than sitting in the house, being depressed that you're 'too old' to do what you want. My dad, for instance, is a musician in his sixties, hardly a looker, but I've got no problem with it - it's his life, not mine and while I don't like his music so much myself, the people he plays with do, and surely that's what counts?

I think we'll have to agree to disagree on this one - guess, like the music, it's a matter of individual taste. Don't like it, don't listen.

  7. I don't think so. I mean she dances like she is a young teen ager. She should get a life and move on. I mean her music isnt even very good.

  8. If she has the energy i cant see why she should pack it in after all you look at Christopher Lee and the late Peter Cushing they have been acting for years, she knows when she will be ready to jack it in as they say, you are not upsetting me how much i like Madonna to a certain extent.

  9. Madonna isn't the only one. I don't mind that they're doing their thing. It's a hella amount better than Jonas and other baby pop acts that have plagued the earth right now..

  10. like you i don't want to offend anyone when i say this but i totally agree with you it makes me cringe when i see one of her videos on television because in my opinion someone of her age shouldn't be prancing around like that.

Don't get me wrong she is lucky to be so lively and stuff but i just don't think it right .
