Hope scholarship questions?

Does anyone have a good idea on how the Hope Scholarship works? I graduated high school with an average of 83.4 which according to the new GPA standards its a 2.7... but I currently enrolled in college and I have acquired a GPA of a 3.33 but I have only been in school for 13 credit hours. I'm not sure if you need to be in school for a certain amount of time to be able to qualify or if I am capable of receiving it. My mother enrolled in school a while back and her high school was in a different country but even though its been years she was granted the HOPE scholarship fairly fast and easy.. I'm finding it hard for myself to pay off school...

  1. Check the HOPE website. The scholarship has certain cut off points for a specfic number of hours for application/reapplication. Hope has special guidelines for older adults who have not been to college and are returning to school after an number of years. That's why it was so easy for your mom.
