Hope to be back in action by September: Yuvraj – Cricket News Update

“Hopefully, I should be back [in action] very soon. Maybe in next 3-4 months,” said Yuvraj, while speaking at a recent function arranged in his honour.
“One year is too late. I am hoping to make an early comeback, maybe in next 3-4 months,” he clarified, when asked whether he would be returning to the sport next year.
The flamboyant batsman, whose career spans 274 ODIs (with 8051 runs at an average of 37.62), last played for the national side in November last year, after which he was diagnosed with a rare germ cell tumour located in between his lungs. The 30-year-old
underwent treatment at the Cancer Research Institute, located in Boston, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Usa-c759, under the supervision of Dr. Lawrence Eisenhower, who is widely recognised as the doctor who treated legendary cyclist Lance Armstrong.
With therapy completed, Yuvraj returned to a warm welcome in India, but despite the insistence of ardent fans, claimed that he would take his time, and see how his body responded to training before jumping back into the sort. He did however, add that he
was eager to rejoin the team.
The former Pune Warriors’ skipper was recently honoured by the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Punjab-c833 government for his outstanding contributions to the team in the 2011 World Cup, which the Men In Blue went on to win. He won 4 Player of the Match awards, and took 15 wickets, along with
scoring a total of 362 runs. The all-rounder was also awarded the Player of the Tournament award.
Speaking at the ceremony, Yuvraj claimed that he was delighted for the honour, and was proud to have contributed to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750’s dream of establishing themselves as world champions.
“It gives me a great pleasure to be honoured by the chief minister,” he said. “As a Punjabi, I feel proud that I have been able to bring glory to the state as an international cricketer. Winning the World Cup was our dream which we realised after 28 years.”
