its difficult to explain, but the main search bar on FIREFOX 3 was always set as a google search and for some reason its turned to using some crappy search called ALOT. does anybody know how to revert back to good ol google THANX

clic on the left side of the searchbar on the logo and select mane search engines, then select google, if not applicable clic on get more search engines and then select google.

If this changed by itself, it is more than likely that you have a spyware infection.

Download both spybot and ad-aware from download.com, update them to the latest versions and run a full scan and remove anything they find.

Once you have done that, click on the drop down arrow to the left of the Google search box on the toolbar and click on manage search engines and make sure Google is at the top of the list.

Click on the icon next to the search bar with the small black triangular arrow pointing down to its right. Choose Google from the list. If you want to remove ALOT from the list of search engines, click the icon/arrow again, click on Manage Search Engines, select ALOT in the new window and click on Remove on the lower right.
